Parties and Events
I can do just about any party or event you might want to host or plan, depending on the size. Small weddings, birthday parties, dinner parties, holiday meals, anniversaries, family reunions, bachelorette parties, graduation parties. You name it! This is the service that I am most passionate about. I love to create an experience rather than just providing food. My private chef services are a bit different than traditional catering because I want to provide your group with a beautiful dinner party or celebration that is stress free. If this sounds like what you are looking for, please reach out! I have my seasonal menus to choose from but I love dreaming up menus with each client to fit their exact vision.
Postpartum
This is a new service that I am very excited about! Although I do not offer regular meal preparation services, I have developed a postpartum offering for families bringing a new little one home. Being a new mom myself, I found so much value in having loved one’s bring fresh and nourishing food to us after coming home with our newborn. I have been studying Ayurvedic medicine and cooking practices and have developed some amazing new skills and recipes from that knowledge. Please reach out if you are expecting a baby soon and want to set up a meal drop off. I can give more information about this via email - just clarify in the inquiry that you are looking for the postpartum service and let me know roughly when you are due. This also makes a great gift if you want to provide something useful to a loved one who just had a baby, but you are too far away to make/deliver food yourself.
Values
After years of working and adapting this business, I have landed on some hard and fast values for my own life and pretty effortlessly they integrated into my work as well. I have a certain way I choose to feed myself and my family and I find that a lot of people in this area share those values. While I am a loving advocate for food accessibility and affordability, I am aware of how “healthy foods” are often the least accessible because of cost, location etc. I spend my own time learning about this subject and I do my best to help break down some of those food accessibility barriers. With that being said, I do use high quality ingredients in my food at home and for work. I choose to source from places that support the local economy, have high standards for the farming practices that go into the food they sell, and contribute to the land in a way that is helpful and not hurtful. I also keep health in mind when buying food products, and always choose the higher quality option. Here are some examples of what that looks like..
Organic fruits and vegetables - or sourced from a location that uses Organic practices.
Grass Fed and Pasture Raised Beef - unless sourced from a place that feeds their cows Organic grains (because that is undeniably delicious) and has humane raising practices. Cows need sunshine!
Organic, pasture raised chicken - usually from Mary’s! & Organic Eggs
Grass Fed Butter & Ghee
Organic avocado, coconut, and oils - Never any vegetable, canola, soybean, or sunflower oils.
Local, humanely raised lamb
Wild Caught Fish from the West Coast
Organic dairy and high quality cheeses
Fresh fresh fresh!
